How to play

Rules

  1. Play a note on string six, then play a second note.

  2. Ask the student whether the second note played was higher, lower or the same as the first note you played.

  3. If they answer correctly, move on to string five and repeat the process.

  4. If they answer incorrectly, move back to string to a lower string.

  5. To win, the student must guess correctly for every string.

Tips

If a student is struggling to hear the difference between notes, increase the distance between notes to make it more noticeable.

If it is too easy, try playing notes that are only one fret apart.

Learning Outcomes

This game is designed to teach students to distinguish between similar and dissimilar notes.
